DESCRIPTION: HUSEL Hockey Club, 3x National Indoor Champion (U19, U16, U14) and USA Field Hockey National Club of the Year Finalist, is an Elite Field Hockey Team focused on the development of high level individual skill execution, passing combinations, position-specific instruction and playing structures, and competitive game play. We are hosting Fall Tryouts for membership into the Club which includes full fall practice programming, tournament play, and/or scrimmage play depending on team assignment.

AGE GROUP/DATE/TIME:
U16: Tuesday, September 8th, 7:15pm-9:15pm, GMU Turf #3
U14/U12: Wednesday, September 9th, 5pm-7pm, GMU Turf #3
U19: Thursday, September 10th, 7:15pm-9:15pm, GMU Turf #3
An athlete's age on December 31 of that given year determines what age group the athlete will be in for the following year. For example, if the athlete is 15 years old on December 31 and turns 16 on January 1 they remain in the U-16 division. Here is a guide: U19 (Born 2002, 2003, 2004), U16 (2005, 2006), U14 (2007, 2008), U12 (2009 and later). Existing Club members should select the Age Group consistent with this past Winter/Summer.

COACHES:
Jenny formerly played for the United States National Field Hockey Team and represented the US in international competitions such as The World Cup, New Zealand Test Series, and Japan 6 Nation Tournament. During college, she played midfield at Wake Forest University where she was a Division I All-American, All-ACC, Hall of Fame selection, and Academic All-American. She concluded her collegiate career with 76 goals and 186 points. She graduated from Harvard Business School with High Distinction as a George F. Baker Scholar, UNC-Chapel Hill with High Honors as a Master of Accounting, and Wake Forest University summa cum laude.
April Moshos was a member of the United States Indoor National Team. A Hall of Fame member at the University of Mary Washington field hockey team, she was one off the top field hockey players in school history. April led the 1993 team to a 22-2 record and the NCAA Division III National Championship game. A two-time All-American she achieved multiple CAC Player of the Year, all-region, and all-conference honors. April brought great acclaim to Mary Washington as a finalist for the 1993 Honda Broderick Award, which honors the top NCAA players in the nation.
Amber Beaudoin is one of the premier field hockey coaches in Virginia. With over 230 wins and multiple conference championships, she is a 5-time Coach of the Year and is highly recognized as the Fairfax County Women in Sports Coach of the Year. Since 2001, she has led Fairfax High School to 9x Concorde District Championships, multiple regional championships, undefeated seasons, and the State tournament. Amber has also been instrumental in youth field hockey development in the area serving as Director of Field Hockey with FPYC since 2007. She is a Level 1 and Level 2 Certified Coach with USA Field Hockey and graduated from the University of Virginia.
MacKenzie Anderson graduated from Fairfax High School where she played 4 years of varsity field hockey as a Goalkeeper and was awarded All-Region honors. She is in her second year as a coach at Fairfax High School.
Lindsey Davenport has been the JV Head coach and Varsity Assistant at Chantilly High School for the past three seasons. She was a four-year starter for the Wilkes University Colonels, serving as a two year captain and 3 year First Team MAC Team Selection, MAC Rookie of the Year and Second Team MAC selection. She holds one of the top shutout and goals against average at Wilkes. Lindsey also trained with the USA field hockey Pennsylvania High Performance team.
Kaitlyn Connolly is in her third season coaching at Colgan High School, in Prince William County. She played in the Fredericksburg area and Texas during high school. She is an alumni of the University of Mary Washington. She is excited to work with athletes this season!
